Wow! I really loved the movie Blind Woman's Curse. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Meiko Kaji deliver some award-winning performances in this movie. I also think Hoki Tokuda was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Meiko Kaji and Hoki Tokuda worked wonderful in Blind Woman's Curse. The great supporting cast includes Meiko Kaji, Hoki Tokuda, Makoto Sat, Yoshi Kato, Yuzo Harumi.

You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!

About the film


Stunning 70's cult siren Meiko Kaji, star of the LADY SNOWBLOOD, FEMALE CONVICT SCORPION and STRAY CAT ROCK films, blasts off in her first headlining role! A novice yakuza boss in early 20th century Japan, she must defend her clan against a vengeful blind swordswoman (Hoki Tokuda), her bizarre hunchback servant (Tatsumi Hijikata), as well as villain Toru Abe's gang of bloodthirsty killers.

Director Teruo Ishii (FEMALE YAKUZA TALE, HORROR OF MALFORMED MEN) delivers a bizarre hybrid of Japanese horror and yakuza genres featuring a nomadic terror carnival, girls skinned alive for their tattooed epidermis, and a succession of brutal swordfights. Actress Kaji offers prime evidence of why she became the top female action star of 1970's Japan. One of the key cult films from Nikkatsu, the studio that also released the unforgettable, offbeat hit TOKYO DRIFTER.

Backdraft - Getting Movies Just Got a Whole Lot Easier

Backdraft- has always been a favorite of mine.Through out the movie, Kurt Russell simply shines. William Baldwin actually caught my interest too.

I think Kurt Russell and William Baldwin worked wonderful in Backdraft. The great supporting cast includes Kurt Russell, William Baldwin, Robert De Niro, Donald Sutherland, Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Summary of Backdraft:
A somewhat contrived screenplay doesn't stop this thriller from serving up some of the most spectacular fire sequences ever committed to film. Like any Ron Howard production Backdraft is impressively slick and boasts a stellar cast, including Kurt Russell and William Baldwin. The actors play sibling rivals who have been at odds since the death of their firefighter father years earlier. Robert De Niro is the veteran fire inspector who is tracking a series of mysterious and deadly arsons, and Donald Sutherland is effectively creepy as the former arsonist who understands the criminal psychology of pyromaniacs. Rebecca De Mornay, Scott Glenn, and Jennifer Jason Leigh are featured in supporting roles. Backdraft is a triumph of stunt work and flaming special effects. --Jeff Shannon
